摘要

Gamete quality in the wild, or in captivity is influenced by many factors and is sometimes very variable (Bobe and Labbe, 2010). However, it is a well known fact that brood-stock nutrition can significantly impact reproductive performance (Izquierdo et al, 2001). Essential fatty acid (EFA) deficiency what can directly affect gamete production was frequently experienced in Hungarian carp farming using cereals as feeds supplementary to natural food (Csengeri, 1996). A similar situation was experiencedin a recent project of the EU 7th framework program for development of efficient and tailored sustainable feeds for European farmed fish with benefit to SMEs. In the present article effects of different feeding regimes on growth and roe production is highlighted in relation to EFA deficiency.
