摘要

Allostasis is a fundamental process through which organisms actively adjust to environmental changes and biological events. Allostatic load refers to the cumulative cost to the body of allostasis and is reflected in increased concentrations of Cortisol and other stress indicators (McEwen and Wingfield, 2003). The aim of the study was to characterize the allostatic load in the European sea bass exposed to acute stressors of different intensity.
