Laser beam welding is nowadays an integral part of the manufacturing chain of aircraft structures and system installations. By applying laser beam welding new design is possible, that was not realizable before. Therefore the usage of laser beam welding leads to a beneficial increase of the performance of aeronautical structures and system installations.
