Rural Landscape Compensative Design Based on the Overall Planning of Urban and Rural Development

over the past 20 years, China has experienced rapid process of urbanization. With the growth of GDP and infrastructure construction in urban areas, lots of border areas of cities and rural areas in China will be transformed into cities, which bear the dual properties of urban and rural areas. How to create the connection of urban areas and rural areas and combine the high-quality of rural landscape and urban contemporary elements has become the key point of the urbanization. The paper approaches the high-quality of rural landscape and the disadvantages of the urbanization, discusses the meaning and feasibility of compensatory design of rural landscape and puts forward the ideal model of the coordinated development of urban and rural areas plan, including the green border, gray border, historical boundaries and interest boundary.
