Monitoring of saturation-desaturation processes is a critical issue for the assessment of potential landslides. In this study, the design and first results of a monitoring experiment for a. test site in the vicinity of previous landslides is presented. The monitoring experiment will be conducted over a period of one year to reflect typical seasonal hydrological changes. Meteorological data (rainfall, temperature and air pressure), infiltration, outflow and suction and saturation at different depths up to 1.5m will be measured continuously using tensiometers, Time Domain Reflectometers and Moisture Point devices.
