摘要

A low-profile 1U-heigh, high-capacity and high-head impeller presents a very attractive option for cooling today's compact PCI designs, where additional space for cooling equipment is at a premium. This paper discusses a simulation-driven approach for designing such a blower, and presents a very desirable optimized solution capable of delivering high flow rates at high system back-pressure and low power consumption. In particular, the study highlights the impressive capability of a good CFD software as a practical design tool for optimizing enclosure designs for maximum cooling.
