Analysis of Transport Process' Costs with Use Various Technologies in Terms of Last Mile Delivery Problem

The research includes the calculation and comparison of the cost of cargo delivery process using a car and a cargo bicycle without electric drive. The methodology of calculation was indicated and the case study was considered, assuming the assumptions consistent with the bicycle transport characteristics. The costs of invested money, energy consumption, using of vehicle, using of infrastructure and external costs of transport were taken into account. A calculation of delivery costs was made when the capacity of vehicles is on maximum level, in relation to the weight of the load and the distance of transport. An equilibrium point was determined as the distance of carriage, for which the delivery costs of both vehicles have comparable values and then a simulation of delivery costs in relation to different load mass when the distance equals the point of equilibrium, was made. The research was crowned with conclusions where the directions of future researches were indicated.
