On the Reform and Innovation of College English Modular Teaching under the Background of Internet +

With the continuous development of the Internet, the application of the Internet in education is gradually deepening. The combination of Internet and college English (CE) has promoted the improvement of English teaching methods and the promotion of teaching effect. The purpose of this paper is to promote the continuous improvement of CE teaching by reforming and innovating CE teaching. This paper first analyzes the specific characteristics of modular teaching from three aspects and explains the specific development direction of modular teaching. Then, on the basis of the investigation and analysis of English teaching, the present situation of English teaching is analyzed. The experimental results show that although the application proportion of modular English teaching method in college students’ English teaching is increasing from 17.24% in 2014 to 34.29%, the overall application proportion is relatively low and needs to be further promoted.
