摘要

The proper functioning of the transport system is the basis for ensuring efficient communication. The critical points of the transport system are connections of individual transport networks, eg road and rail. Most of the places where road and rail routes intersect are implemented in the form of road and rail crossings. This type of connection is a collision solution that often contributes to the disruption of traffic flow in road transport. The article analyzes a specific combination of road and rail infrastructure within the city of Poznan. The assessment was aimed at checking whether, for example the knowledge about a closed road-rail level crossing and changing the route of journey by road transport means can contribute to shortening the travel time.
