Wastewater in cities and industry sectors is always characterized with high-salinity.In this paper,a novel mechanical vapor recompression evaporative crystallization system was proposed to treat high-salinity wastewater and realize zero-emission.A mathematical model was developed using the software Engineering Equation Solver(EES).The effects of the flashing pressure(Pflash),the feeding wastewater salinity(co),the first-effect evaporation concentration(c_(evap))and the water injection ratio(βv)on the coefficient of performance(COP),compression work(W_(comp))and circulation ratio(CR)were studied in detail.The results show that the c_(evap)has significant influence on the CR,especially when the c_(evap)is close to co;;the water injected MVR system obtains higher COP,and specifically,with the increase of the βv the COP improved nearly 5.0% for various operation conditions.
