Nondestructive examination of uranium oxide kernels using energy-resolved neutron imaging

NERI was used to map in three dimensions the uraniumand gadolinium content throughout mixed oxide spheres.New results demonstrate that the NERI results match wellwith SEM studies. This work helps to lay a foundation formore frequent use of NERI to study nuclear fuel materials atSNS.
