In view of the problems of loss rate and high impurity content in the traditional vertical-axial flow combined harvester cleaning and separation system during the operation, the distributional characteristic of the mixture (corn kernel, broken mandrel, and broken stalk) along the drum were analyzed. The distribution law of corn growing mixture was determined. The test was carried out with the quality of extraneous residue as the test index and the drum speed and threshing clearance as the test factors. It was determined that when the water content of corn was 25%, the feeding amount was lOkg/s, the rotating speed of the drum was 350 r/min, and the threshing clearance was 55mm, the single piece accumulation phenomenon of the axial and radial distribution of the threshing grains in the drum weakened, which was conducive to the later cleaning, and provided a design reference for the direct collection and separation device of corn seeds.
