Research Performance Evaluation of Weihai Campus of Harbin Institute of Technology based on InCites and ESI Databases

摘要

Taking Harbin Institute of Technology Weihai as the research object, based on InCites and ESI databases, the research performance of the campus is evaluated comprehensively through multidimensional evaluation index from the SCI/SSCI thesis perspective. Meanwhile, by comparing the citation frequency of papers and the global first 1% reference value in ESI of different subjects, the dominant and potential disciplines are determined. Furthermore, by means of analyzing cooperative institutions, regions and main cooperation direction, high-quality partners and potential high-level talents in specific subject area are being tapped. The purpose of this study is to provide decision support for the university governors in terms of discipline development and talent introduction, as well as some reference for the research performance analysis of other institutions without customized data in InCites database.
