This presentation looks at ways in which real time three dimensional (real-time 3D, also known as 4D) echocardiography may be clinically informative in equine cardiology, using examples encountered from clinical practice. The presentation will look specifically at cases of valvular regurgitation and congenital heart disease and critique the potential of this technology to allow better assessment of form and function within the equine heart.
