Emerging markets move towards stability and adopt HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) and other food safety principles; 3. Global food trade remains necessary to feed rapidly growing populations and meet consumer demand; 4. Voluntary standards like GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) remain front of mind for global retailers and food manufacturers; 5. Governments begin to focus more on food safety and developing stronger food safety regulations.
