BLUE Wedge Connection Fatigue testing of a novel offshore substructure connection

The BLUE Wedge Connection is a novel connection method for offshore substructures. The principle of the inclined plane is used to connect flanges with a radially displaced wedge. A first design was made based on analytical and numerical design checks. This design was tested in scaled, single-segment fatigue tests.
