摘要

With a vision to enhance the green transportation model and promoting the National Electric Mobility Mission Plan, it is indeed the need of hour to switch to renewable and clean energy sources at the earliest. This paper presents design, analysis and experimental results of solar charge controller for electric golf cart. The developed charge controller operates on maximum power point tracking algorithm. The system comprising of charger and PV panel is self-sufficient to charge the battery of the vehicle and besides this, the surplus power generated can also be utilized for feeding the DC load like DC bulbs, DC fans etc. The system is based on an intelligent embedded algorithm which aims at utilizing maximum power from solar generation. Simulation results of MATLAB, design and analysis of the system, the hardware prototype model of the system, energy generation and energy utilization are discussed in detail in the paper.
