This paper emphasizes on EMI/EMC design considerations that are implemented in the up converter and local oscillator (LO) modules in E/F Band Exciter. The up converted waveform is fed to the dual transmit receive unit for transmitting through radiating elements and LO's to receiver unit of the Radar. This up converter system receives 60MHz modulated IF and up converts to UHF frequency in 1st up conversion and in the 2nd up conversion to E/F band with the help of two local oscillators. EMI /EMC issues have been treated in this work by considering design, PCB layout, components selection, distribution of power supply and housing.
