The effect of a significant and sudden loss of traction during acceleration of the vehicle with asymmetric (or asyn-chronous) vibrations of the wheels is found. The effect appears on vehicles with inter-wheel differential under intense start with slipping. This can be dangerous when the car enters a highway or crosses intersections. The paper is aimed at studying this phenomenon and developing modes of optimal acceleration of the vehicle, provided that the undesirable effect described above does not appear.
