An advanced material with the desired mechanical properties was planned to prepare for multi-functional purpose. For this work, poly-aryl-ether-ketone (PAEK) was selected as polymeric matrix material. Nano-filler added to improve mechanical properties, various compositions were planned to prepare. Multiwalled carbon nanotube (MWNT) were planned to use as nanofiller materials to improve the desired property. The fillers were varies as 0, 0.3, 0.5 and 1 wt%. The polymer nanocomposites (PNC) were prepared by melt mixing method to improve the dispersion of nano filler material in polymer matrix phase. Further, it is planned to analyze PNC by various mechanical characterizations methods viz. tensile testing, impact testing and flexural testing. MWNT improves mechanical properties significantly at 0.5 and lwt% of filler loading. At 0.3 wt% MWNT loading filler gets agglomerate leads to deteriorate mechanical properties. Addition of MWNT has favourable effect on the mechanical properties of PAEK polymer. Furthermore, storage modulus also shows significant improvement with the addition of MWNT.
