Multiferroic refers to a kind of material that is simultaneously ferroelectric and ferromagnetic (or antiferromagnetic). This material has two or more kinds of arrangement at the same time, such as spin and polarization double arrangement structure. Owing to the coexistence of electric and magnetic fields, this kind of material is also composite. This functional material has shown great application prospect in the field of new magnetoelectric devices, spin electronic devices, high-performance information storage, and processing. It will push the development of several categories in condensed matter physics, charge, spin, orbit, lattice, etc., as soon as it is realized. Herein, we review some methods to synthesize double perovskite ion oxide YBaNiFeO_5 and put forward some feasible experimental operation applications.
