A testifying method for the instructing efficiency of information security courses with statistical probability models

In this paper, a novel method based on the statistical probability models has been proposed to testify the instructing efficiency of these courses for the information security major. A new measure, as well as the increment in the description length, is employed to improve the previous measure used for testifying these courses. When this similarity measure is given, a scale of clustering algorithms can be used to help the analysis for instructing efficiency. As the improvement, the increment in description length satisfies the symmetrical feature. The experiment results indicate that the proposed similarity measure can lead to better clustering results than some other previous similarity measures and the testifying results can hold higher accuracy.
