Scheduling Mechanism in Wireless Ad hoc Networks – A Review

Energy conservation is mainly important strategy for critical applications like military or disaster recovery places. Energy in wireless networks has to be scheduled in an efficient manner. Scheduling is the major challenging issue in wireless ad hoc networks. This paper reviews the scheduling mechanism in wireless ad hoc networks. Medium access protocol (MAC) involves IEEE 802.11 standard in wireless technology. It achieves high throughput and performance in distributed system.
