Introduction to the First International Workshop on Process Querying (PQ 2016)

Process querying studies methods for automated management of real-world and envisioned processes, process models, process repositories, and process knowledge within modern organizations. The main objective of the first edition of the workshop was to provide a forum for researchers and practitioners to exchange findings and ideas on process querying research and practices. The program of the workshop included an invited talk and three accepted research papers (50% acceptance rate). The invited talk entitled "Process Querying with Uncertainty" was given by Associate Professor Avigdor Gal of the Faculty of Industrial Engineering & Management at the Technion, Israel. The three presentations of the accepted research papers on the workshop day addressed the topics of querying data in event logs and measuring similarity between business process models. The workshop took place on September 19, 2016, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
