64.1 Introduction Conducting polymers receiving a growing attention during past decades owe to their unique mechanical, electrical and physicochemical properties. Extensive studies of the mechanism of conductivity in such materials and specific phenomena exhibited in bulk and nanostructured forms pave the way to their application in batteries, supercapacitors, sensors, organic semiconducting and memory devices.
