Value and Rational Use of Landform Resources in Low Impact Development

Cities are developing more outstanding and serious ecological and environmental problems. These problems are due to diverse reasons but can be traced back to the lack of regard for landforms as an important resource. Low impact development (LID) is a general plan to resolve these types of problems; LED promotes valuing landform resources and their rational use. Here, landform resources are defined, demonstrating that they are precious natural resources, and their special significance is highlighted. Incorporating a global breadth of advanced experience, planning, and design of landform resources are provided based on an urban construction case study of urban flood and waterlogged disaster prevention. LED is the key to ensuring sustainable urban development.
