Joining zones of Tailored Forming components are thin. Hence, flat elements are preferred to model the joining zones for simulations. Cohesive Zone Elements (CZEs) are flat but require special material models, Traction Separation Laws (TSLs), which usually cannot capture all damage causing deformation modes induced by bulk forming processes. Internal Thickness Extrapolation (InTEx) is a new technology that allows to use bulk material models in flat elements and enables consideration of all deformation modes. In this contribution a Tailored Forming component is simulated with multiple different discretisations to investigate mesh convergence behaviour.
