Worldwide Diversity Management of 'Global Access' Renault/Dacia's Vehicle Range by Using a Modern PLM System

The "Global Access" Range of Dacia/Renault has to handle a huge diversity in order to manage a global production for our customers worldwide. It's about conceiving 16 vehicles in 4 interconnected R&D centers and manufacturing in 12 plants on four continents in the context of multi-sourcing. This is possible by using a strong and versatile Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) system which permits a real-time coordination for all R&D operations involving updating, sharing, transferring and archiving of all type of current data (3D, Working Breakdown Structure/WBS or standard documents). The paper shows briefly the main characteristics of the Renault/Dacia's PLM System and why this solution is optimum.
