Roof added PV module has impacts on building energy consumption due to electricity production and shading effect on thermal performance of roof. In this paper, simplified physical and mathematical models were established. An experiment was conducted to verify the models accuracy. System comprehensive energy efficiency model was proposed to analyze integrated contribution of shading and photovoltaics performance. The results indicated that heat gain and cooling load of PV roof were attenuated while heating load increasing. The daily load of flat and tilted overhead PV roofs were reduced by 77.4% and 69.4%, while integrated energy efficiency were 63.35% and 62.73%, respectively.
