For decades there exists a continuous effort on the development of a general methodology for the determination of a best set of kinetic parameters, from thermogravimetric analysis, for a given material undergoing thermochemical conversion. The collateral effect of these efforts is a large quantity of values of Arrhenius parameters that can be found for an only one material. The most popular are cellulose, coal, wood and varieties of thermoplastics polymers. Therefore, what are the best sets of kinetic parameters for a given material? The objective of the present work is creating a set of rules for categorizing from the literature database the best set of Arrhenius parameters. The criteria is based on the Bayesian filtering approach to statistics in order to sequentially eliminate non-accurately estimated parameters and finally depicted graphically the best ones parameters for some materials plentiful in the literature database.
