The development of driving behavior questionnaire to determine roadway capacity

Roadway capacity is often calculated with consideration mainly on roadway physical conditions. Yet, the current driver factor contributes on roadway capacity calculation, particularly aggressive driving behavior. To identify the significance of the driver factors particularly driving behavior plays a role in capacity calculation, several parameters should be measured correctly. The result from measured parameters related to driving behavior is then analyzed further to determine roadway capacity and compare it with theoretical road capacity. The paper will provide a tool to identify the driving behavior characteristic in specified road segment by listing sets of questions gathered from literature study for the respondents (driver on the specified road segment) and conducting initial survey to test the validity and reliability of questionnaire using CVI Index and Alpha Cronbach's Method respectively. The test shows that CVI Index is 1.0 and scored 0.821 on Alpha Cronbach's scale hence the developed questionnaire is both valid and reliable, and ready to launch in field survey.
