Interval Method Traffic Analysis in Multiservice Communication Systems

Article is devoted to the new method of the analysis of queues in systems of multiservice with flows of requests of a general view called "interval". The kidney flows of packets characteristic of modern multiservice communication networks are considered. It is offered, as the analyzed random variable to use numbers of the requests arriving during intervals of servicing of each request. The concept of differential intensity of a flow of requests is entered and shown that the average of requests on an interval of servicing doesn't depend on the distribution law of a flow. The algorithm of consecutive determination of average length of a queue, with flows of requests of a general view is considered, and on its basis the balance equation for instant values of queues is received. Based on the balance equation, the ratio generalizing the known formula Pollaczek-Khinchin is received any flows of requests. The formula is suitable for determination of average values of queues of systems of mass servicing, with any flows of requests. It is shown that the denominator of the generalized formula doesn't depend on a type of the analyzed flow and is determined only by values of load factor of system. The private examples confirming justice of the received generalized formula are reviewed. It is shown that for kidney flows of packets of multiservice networks the determining impact on the extent of queues is exerted by correlation properties of flows.
