1. Epoxy resin is a key binder for structural adhesive applications, available in various functionalities and forms 2. Epoxy phenol novolacs provide better crossiinking results, better Tg, chemical resistance 3. Resorcinol diglycidyl ether provides very good viscosity reduction and also improves chemical resistance 4. New development in resins enable curing of epoxy at faster rates and also at low temperature, avoiding the use of Mercaptan as hardeners and acrylates as additives 5. Multifunctional epoxy resins provide better elevated temperature properties 6. Epoxy resins can be cured at RT or at high temperature based on curing agent selection 7. Latent curing agents provide good RT storage stability and also fast reactivity at high temperature.
