The development status of medical waste category, management and disposal in China

Medical waste is classified as number one hazardous waste of Medical Waste Management Regulations in China. On the basis of introducing category, common components, characteristics and hazards of medical waste, the laws, regulations and standard, etc. related with Chinese medical waste management and disposal are analyzed and summarized. At last, pointed out that Chinese medical waste management and disposal have gradually legalized and standardized track, to further strengthen the medical waste management and disposal in china and develop new medical waste disposal technology, for the effective and safe disposal of medical waste, the maintenance people healthy and environmental protection, are of great significance.
