Factors affecting the rapid excavation speed of rock roadways based on the blasting method

Based on the current background of China's coal mines, major constraint factors restricting the excavation speed of blasting methods are analyzed: These include: (1) geological structures, especially in complex geological conditions; (2) equipment configurations, especially limited capacities of transportation equipment; (3) construction technologies; stale blasting technologies; (4) organizational processes, wasted time and non-parallelization in key processes; and (5) construction managements, unscientific construction organizations. Finally, some improvement measures to overcome the aforementioned factors are proposed.
