Removal of various pollutants, including both inorganic and organic compounds from the environment, especially in the wastewater, is a big challenge. These pollutants terribly threaten both our environment and human being. With the development of science and technology, there are a number of physical, chemical, and biological methods to control the water pollution successfully. And adsorption technique is usually simple and can work effectively. The adsorption capacity of materials depends on its porous structure and surface property. Graphene-based composite is a kind of new type of nanometer material, a novel material. Graphene shows a high adsorption capacity. And in this paper, recent research achievements were reviewed on the application of graphene-based composites in wastewater treatment. It presented a high adsorption capacity to some kinds of organic pollutants.
