The microbial load of raw milk is important in the yield and final quality of dairy products. The microbiological quality of milk is closely related to the animal's habits and milking management. Thus, the care with hygiene and cleanliness during milking should be strict to maintain milk quality. Among the main microorganisms involved in mastitis, Staphylococcus aureus stands out as one of the most frequent, followed by Streptococcus ssp. and Corynebacterium, corresponding to the greatest losses in the production of dairy herds around the world (Melchior et al., 2011). Thus, the aim of this study was to map out the microbiological profile isolated from raw buffalo milk samples from different production batches.
