Smart and Green Solutions - Integration of Wind Farm Supply Chain and Green Logistics - (PPT)

SIGSOL Solution main objective is to integrate on the wind farm logistics planning both the Green Logistics concept and cost optimization algorithms, contributing to complete transformation of logistics strategies, structures and systems, creating logistics processes environmentally rational and with efficient use of resources. The system is based on a definition of a Sustainability Logistics Quantitative Index (SLQI) that represents the logistics life cycle of wind farm components from manufacturers to site. The SLQI is based in three variables representing: cost, environmental impact and energy production/consumption, and it is accompanied by an emission compensation processes definition (active and passive). The modelling and optimization of these variables allows the minimization of environmental burden and a higher sustainability of the wind farm logistic activities.
