Machine learning (ML), which has been around since the 1950s, regained a tremendous momentum in recent years thanks to the synergistic breakthroughs made in data availability, algorithms, and computer hardware. Its great potentials have been demonstrated in many science and technology fields, e.g., image recognition, speech recognition, and self-driving cars among many other applications.
