The stable double-terminated UV-curable cationic waterborne polyurethane dispersion was synthesized by using 4,4'-dicyclohexyl methane diisocyanate (HMDI), polytetramethylene ether glycol (PTMG1000), N-methyl two ethanol amine (MDEA) as the main raw material and hydroxyethyl acrylate (HEA) as the blocking agent. The UV curing behavior was deeply studied to obtain the optimized curing conditions. The results showed that the cationic waterborne polyurethane films were prepared with 3% photoinitiator Diphenyl (2, 4, 6-trimethylbenzoyl) phosphine oxide (TPO), under 250w UV-light for 80s, displaying the low yellowing index and better mechanical properties.
