Polymer resin systems have many advantages over conventional cement.Since resins are solids-free particles, they can be used in low injectivity zones such as narrow fractures where conventional cement cannot be squeezed through.Besides, the resins can be used in combination with cement to enhance casing/cement bonding for improved wellbore isolation. To ensure the success of a field application, the lab testing must be performed at downhole conditions. The objectives of this paper are to study the performance of epoxy resins and their curing agents. Also,to examine cement-resin slurry formulation testing and field application.Cement Slurry was designed with suitable rheology and thickening time. This was done by utilizing enough curing agent into the cement-resin slurry. This study also highlights a successful field deployment to cement a 9 5/8-in liner tie-back job.
