In Akaiyachi mire, the physical and chemistry examination of the peat, groundwater level and the vegetation of the hygrophyte were measured as work for measurement the present condition of the Akaiyachi mire. As a result, at the edge of Akaiyachi mire, fluctuation range of groundwater level was large, the disassembly of peat is progressing and water for Akaiyachi mire was supplied through underground from neighboring area of wetland. Moreover, the sheet pile method on farmland consolidation in neighboring paddy field of wetland was effective for increase of groundwater level.
