Climate conditions have observable effects on temperature and moisture changes in the subgrade of highways. It is widely known that the climate conditions in Kazakhstan are sufficiently different. Particularly, Almaty region's average air temperature during summer is equal to +35°C and it is equal to - 30°C during winter. Moreover, zero values of temperature measurements occur frequently. In addition, it is estimated that the highest subgrade temperature of "Almaty-Bishkek" highway obtains a value of +31°C and the lowest value is equal to -4°C. The freezing depth of this particular highway may provide a value of 150 cm. Special sensors are used to determine temperature and moisture change characteristics mentioned.
