The invention is related to road building, in particular, to methods for determining temperature and moisture content of a road structure and the underlying subgrade, and can be used in construction and operation of road and aerodrome structures. Use of the method comprising placement of sensors determining temperature and moisture content in layers of the road structure and the underlying subgrade by way of drilling a borehole arranged over the width of the road structure while retaining, without mixing, the material withdrawn from each layer of the road structure and the underlying subgrade, placing the sensors in series at every 20 cm over the borehole depth, bringing external wires of the sensors out of the borehole, backfilling of the borehole by layers using the material withdrawn from respective layers of the road structure and the underlying subgrade, laying the road pavement layers of the same composition as those of the road structure, compacting of each layer followed by bringing external wires of the sensors to a 1.5 m deep pit made in the road side slope, and connection of wire ends to an adapter, connection of the adaptor by means of wires to a USB port arranged at the top of a 2.0 m high mounting post, with subsequent measurements of temperature and moisture content makes it possible to increase volume of information and to decrease labour and time spent for acquirement and processing of measurement results.
