Landslide risk loss assessment is different from the traditional damage assessment after the occurrence of landslide disaster.Owing to the merit of its potential to predict or estimate risk loss caused by landslide, it has become an essential part of landslide quantitative risk assessment which have attracted growing interests and attentions recently.In order to research the spatial distributions and dynamic variation rules due to time factor of landslide risk loss, based on the field theory, vectors analysis & landslide dynamics, the concept of risk field was put forward.And then, taking the special elements at risk including property and persons in the landslide risk filed as the research object, identifying and quantifying the elements at risk, assessing temporal spatial probabilities for the elements at risk, assessing vulnerability of the elements at risk, in terms of property damage and loss of life injury as appropriate were involved in the risk loss assessment.Then the model of risk loss assessment for single landslide based on the core concept of risk field was established and verified, the 3-D description of risk filed distribution and the adding and coupling mathematical laws of risk loss were focused on in the research.Compared with conventional models of consequence analysis, the proposed model and methodology can display the distribution of individual risk distinctly, straightly and integrally.
