Surface morphological properties of Ag-Al_2O_3 nanocermet layers using dip-coating technique

Ag-Al_2O_3 nanocermet layer was deposited on Cu coated glass substrate using dip-coating technique. The aim of this study was to observe the surface morphology properties of Ag-Al_2O_3 nanocermet layers after annealing process at 350°C in H_2. The surface morphology of Ag-Al_2O_3 nanocermet will be characterized by Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM), Atomic Force Microscopy (AFM) and X-Ray Diffractometer (XRD), respectively. The results show that nearly isolated Ag particles having a large and small size were present in the Al_2O_3 dielectric matrix after annealing process. The face centered cubic crystalline structure of Ag nanoparticles inclusion in the amorphous alumina dielectric matrix was confirmed using XRD pattern and supported by EDX spectra analysis.
