摘要

Porcine epidemic diarrhea virus (PEDV) was first identified in the United States in April 2013 and rapidly spread to 32 US states as of November 2014, suggesting that PEDV is highly transmissible. However, no information has been published regarding the minimum infectious dose (MID) of PEDV in different porcine models. The objectives of this study were to 1) determine the minimum infectious dose of PEDV in naive neonatal piglets; 2) determine the minimum infectious dose of PEDV in naive weaned pigs and assess the corresponding antibody responses.
