SERVICE ORIENTED ARCHITECTURE -A BENEFIT FOR SME

摘要

The costs for information technology (IT) systems in Small and Medium enterprises (SME) to support their business processes in fast changing markets are mostly high. Therefore it is necessary to find a way to reduce the Total Costs of Ownership (TCO) of the IT systems in such companies. As already seen in Large Scale Enterprises (LE) the changing of static IT system constructs increases flexibility and might reduce the TCO. Implementing a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) supports such flexibility and is also a solution for SME to reduce costs.
