Preface to the special issue on “Soft Materials” ICSM 2014

This issue of macromolecular Symposia contains selected papers presented at International Conference on SoftMaterials (ICSM 2014). The Conference was held in a beautiful city of India, Jaipur, known as Pink City during 6-10 Oct 2014. In today’s world, soft materials play an important role in our daily life ranging from food, paints, energy ef?cient materi- als etc. Soft materials include a broad, continuous range of materials, from colloid suspension of particles to long chain poly- mer molecules. Many biological system such as protein, DNA and virus also come under soft materials.
