For the blind separation of non-cooperative Paired carrier multiple access (PCMA), on the basis of the derivation of the non-binary code BCJR (Bahl, Cocke, Jelinek, Raviv), a novel blind separation algorithm is presented based on BCJR-PSP. The algorithm is able to give a logarithmic likelihood ratio to every symbol separated by Per-Survivor Processing (PSP), so soft decision decoding can be adopted in the backend for channel decoding to improve the overall system performance. Simulation results show that, compared with the PSP algorithm of hard decision, this algorithm can increase the performance by 2-3 dB.
